Tiffany Lights
Before you even start redesigning your living room you need to ask yourself what you are going to use the room for and how often you are going to use it. You may use the living room right through the day, just in the evening or only for specific tasks so you will really need a number of different levels of lighting throughout the room. You also need to think about what type of atmosphere you want to create in your room and depending on what you decide you may want to consider buying dimmer lights or a number of different lights such as Tiffany Lights. Getting the proportions of your lights right is also important and you need to decide what type of lights will suitable. Have you got room for a big chandelier or Tiffany Lights ? Is your room small? Maybe a more compact light would be more suitable? If the corners of your room are especially dark then you may need extra light to brighten up the dark areas. Lamps, floor lights and Tiffany Lights are great for this.

Fire Escape Stairs
I live in a very lovely old fashioned flat with Fire Escape Stairsgoing down the side of the building. It is a two bedroom flat and, because it is old, the rooms are so much larger than those in a modern property. I must say that I love living there because my flat also has the benefit of some really nice period features which I make great use of in terms of allowing them to dictate the style of my home. The other day I had been out with some friends for the afternoon and evening and when I arrived home I realised that I did not have my keys with me. At first I was fiilled with despair and then I realised that if I climbed the Fire Escape StairsI might be able to get in through the kitchen window. Although it was a little scary climbing the fire escape stairs, I did manage to get in and breathed a huge sigh of relief to be back in my own home again. However, when I relayed the story to a friend over the telephone she told me that I was mad to leave my kitchen window open when somebody could get in so easily. As her words sank in, I realised how foolish I had been and resolved to be a lot more security conscious in the future.
